Working in the shepherds hut in Thomas Hardy’s Dorset

The majority of my work is produced in this gorgeous shepherds hut in Marnhull, North Dorset, where fictional Tess from Tess of the d'Urbervilles grew up.

I am spoilt with views of the Blackmore vale and the only distractions are the curious cows who peer in through the window and wonder why I would want to spend so much time in a shed.

I firmly believe that art should not be pretentious. It should be accessible for everyone and I try to keep costs down to reflect this. I work in acrylic, gouache or watercolour on canvas, board or paper and I source frames at a low cost.
